Scotty Dawg from Metal Underground conducted an interview with Disturbed frontman David Draiman.

As previously related by Metalhead.ro, NECRODEATH’s romanian tour ended up with quite tension among the band and the local promoters. A recent Myspace bulletin states that this animosity determined NECRODEATH’s live management agency (Black Dahlia Agency) to cancel future CADAVERIA show, which was scheduled for this winter. Read the excerpt bellow:
“CADAVERIA and Black Dahlia Agency are very displeased to communicate the scheduled live dates in Romania will not take place.
The reasons are not imputed to the band and don’t depend on Black Dahlia, but on serious logistical problems by the local promoter in Romania. Unfortunately the total lack of professionalism and the complete unreliability of the local “promoter” goes to the detriment of all fans who wanted to attend CADAVERIA shows. (more…)
As you all know CADAVERIA’s Romanian tour was canceled “due to the “unprofessionalism” of the local promoter”. It’s not a first for “the local promoter”, bands like Lord Belial and Mandragora Scream also being on the black list.
The band stated: “CADAVERIA and Black Dahlia [Agency] apologize [to] all Romanian fans, especially with those who already bought their ticket”. “CADAVERIA hope to meet Romanian fans in a near future, wishing a luckier situation.”

Finnish metallers AMORPHIS were joined by guest singer Mikko Kotamäki from support band SWALLOW THE SUN during their headlining concert Friday night (November 23) in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Watch their performance of the song “Drowned Maid” below:
Swedish industrial goth metal band DEATHSTARS entered Metrosonic Recording Studios in New York City on October 29 to begin recording of their new album for a spring 2008 release via Nuclear Blast Records. According to the group, “this album will start another chapter in [DEATHSTARS’] history of vanity, darkness, blood and sleaze.”

Los Angeles-based metal band RUSTY EYE has posted the video for its song “Mr. Cannibal” on YouTube. According to a press release, the clip “was professionally filmed in the city of Glendale, CA on 16 mm and was directed, co-produced, and financed by noted cinematographer Alejandro Ordoñez. (more…)
DIMMU BORGIR’s latest album, “In Sorte Diaboli”, has been certified gold in the band’s home country of Norway for sales in excess of 15,000 copes. DIMMU BORGIR is said to be the first metal band in Norway to shift than 15,000 units of a single release.

Yes, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed Mike Lerner’s DIREWOLF project, I’ve heard Zeleny’s drumming on BLOTTED SCIENCE’s The Machinations of Dementia, I’ve even listened to the Nano-Nucleonic Cyborg Summoning EP but nothing could really prepare me for this. So much so that I had to listen to the record at least five times before deciding I actually like it, and dozens of times before writing this review. (more…)
Season of Mist will release the third album from Dutch goth metallers ASRAI, entitled “Pearls in Dirt”, in Europe on November 12 (November 20 in the U.S.). A single, “Sour Ground”, preceded the full-length effort on November 5. The title track will also be available on the limited edition of “Pearls in Dirt”. The deluxe packaging will include a velvet o-ring and silver hot foil print.
