Dutch metallers DEMIA have posted their video for the song “Phantom Limbs” on MySpace. Watch the clip below. The track comes off the group’s debut album, “Insidious”, which is due on September 24 via Scarlet Records. The CD was produced by Dirty Icon, which consists of Logan Mader (ex-MACHINE HEAD, SOULFLY) and Lucas Banker (JUNKIE XL). Logan also mixed and mastered the album at the Undercity Recording Studio in North Hollywood, California. (more…)

German female-fronted gothic metal band FLOWING TEARS has issued the following update:
“The semi-acoustic live album [recorded during the 2004 semi-acoustic tour] will be entitled ‘Invanity - Live in Berlin’, and will be released in October. The album features the show at Passionskirche Berlin, and as a bonus we have just been in studio to record a coverversion of NICK CAVE’s ‘The Weeping Song’, which we did together with TIAMAT’s Johan Edlund on vocals. The 6th release of NIGHTWISH was eagerly expected by both fans and “nonbelievers”. After the split-up between the band and Tarja Turunen back in 2005, everyone was anxious to see and hear her replacement. She has been announced in May this year as Anette Olzon, a relatively unknown singer from Sweden. So the question remained: “Can she sing?”. My answer, after hearing the whole of Dark Passion Play is “YES!”. Another question was: “Does Tuomas Holopainen still have it in him?”. I would also say “YES!”. So let’s take this album song by song and see why I have reached this conclusion. (more…)
British black metal pioneers VENOM have decided to re-record some of the already completed tracks for their upcoming album and push back the CD’s projected release date to early 2008. Drummer Antony “Antton” Lant (brother of VENOM frontman Conrad “Cronos” Lant) explains: “During the Scandinavian tour [which took place in May 2007] we played through some of the new tracks in the soundchecks. A CRADLE OF FILTH concert is a once in a lifetime opportunity. The Romanian fans of the well-known extreme gothic metallers had this chance during the Stufstock Festival in Vama Veche that took place on August 16-19.

As announced yesterday, Vader will release their third DVD in October. The DVD entitled “And Blood Was Shed In Warsaw” will feature the footage from the band’s fantastic concert at Stodola Club in February 2007, which was the final stop of the tour promoting their latest album “Impressions in Blood”.
